College is finished and I passed all of my modules, meaning I am able to progress onto the second year of my HND :). I completed my Graded Unit with a Grade A (97%) so very pleased with that. After a little break for the summer I am now back to thinking about photoshoots and yesterday did a great one with Walker Slater and Mairi Brunning Millinery. It was a good experience as the concept was not designed by myself but by the creative director, Zan. Taking direction and not having total free rein for my own ideas meant that I got a taste of what it will be like to work for a more restrictive brief in a professional capacity, which was really useful. All the models were lovely and the photos look fantastic. Also great vintage hairstyling by the hair team and some nice new contacts made. A good day!

I have been ill with a very bad cold/flu for days now, and will shortly be attempting to leave the house for the first time since Saturday. Unfortunately I was ill for my graded unit shoot on Saturday, but still ploughed ahead! Looks like we got some nice photos so I am looking forward to seeing them, thank you to Gavin Dougan (photographer), and my models Sazi, Gemma, Zan and Jodie for enduring my sniffles. I have made some headway with the custom latex this week, whilst I have been unwell, as it's something I can do on the sofa in my pyjamas. I spoke to a lovely local shop owner who may be interested in collaboration, and made a couple of items for this weekend's Torture Garden in Edinburgh. I also made myself a bubblegum pink skirt and some gauntlets, will try and get some photos! I have also been trying to find work experience for the summer (after all, what better place than Edinburgh during the Festival!) so fingers crossed something will come from that :). I finally got my business cards ordered too, but apparently they will take up to 14 days to arrive :(. Hope they get here quickly!

I have finally managed to get my website up and running! Thanks to everyone who helped me, apparently I'm not as technical as I thought. It's a busy time right now - trying to get lots of shoots and experience outside of college whilst also producing college work to a high standard. I spend a lot of my time cutting and sticking to make my endless moodboards at the moment! Spoke to some of the hairdressers yesterday about helping out with the Hed Kandi showcase in April; looks great! Some interesting make up to be done :). This weekend just past was the ECFS catwalk show, can't believe how quick it has come around, feels like only a couple of weeks ago I was going to help out with the first set of promo shots! It was great and went really well, raising lots of money for charity, hope I will get to do it again!
